About
![]() My name is Dai Tablets, and I have been a photographer for over fifty years. The first look through a view finder was my Mother's old Voightlander. I was seriously into the subject in my teens guided by a great professional Des Harris. His darkroom skills have helped me for life. We made our own cameras from cannibalised backs, shutters and pre-war lenses. Many monochrome exhibits now are from those cameras. I illustrated books and publications with maritime subjects and picked up an award along the way. Like many from the wet darkroom era I have been dragged kicking and screaming into the digital age. I am impressed. Please enjoy my pictures, I think they are a little different. Here is a picture of me back in the 60's taking a picture of the St Clare leaving Aberdeen. |
